Book Review: Fifty Shades of Grey

Title: Fifty Shades of Grey (The first book in the Fifty Shades Trilogy series)
Author: E.L. James

Synopsis:
When literature student Anastasia Steele is drafted to interview the successful young entrepreneur Christian Grey for her campus magazine, she finds him attractive, enigmatic and intimidating. Convinced their meeting went badly, she tries to put Grey out of her mind - until he happens to turn up at the out-of-town hardware store where she works part-time. Erotic, amusing, and deeply moving, the Fifty Shades Trilogy is a tale that will obsess you, possess you, and stay with you forever.

Thoughts on the Book:
I've already heard positive reviews about this book but I can't convince myself to read it. It was even featured on Yahoo News. Even my friend on facebook this books and rated it 5/5. So after sometime, I've decided to read it.
It was dubbed as the adult version of Twilight (I haven't read Twilight.). True enough, I was reading the book, I can say that E.L. James' characters were inspired by the characters in Twilight. The only difference is that the hero was not a vampire, which makes it realistic. In my opinion, the characters in this book are the improved versions of characters in Twilight.
I'll start with Christian Grey. Just like Edward, he was also adopted by a couple - Grace, who is a doctor and Carrick, who is a lawyer. He's also beautiful. He loves classical and opera music and he plays the piano too. He can't resist Anastasia. HE has a fascination for luxury cars. He's got a good taste for fashion. But, he can sing and he can drive an airplane baby!
Anastasia Steele (similar to Bella Swan) is a passionate young woman. Like Bella, she also loves reading books. She's a very curious person and loves asking questions especially when she's not satisfied with the answers given. She has a thing for classical music too but she also loves listening to new ones. She has a step dad. And like Bella's Charlie, Ray also loves fishing. But instead of being a member of the police, he is an ex-army instead. Ana's parents were separated too. Her mom's fourth husband is into sports also just like Bella's mom's husband is. She talks when she's asleep too. She doesn't have an experience with boys and Grey is her first boyfriend. Unlike Bella, she has a lot of friends. Bella is boring, Anastasia isn't.
As a warning to everyone who wants to read this book, there are some erotic scenes not suitable for the younger readers. I was hesitant in reading some X-rated scenes in the book but as I progressed, I realized that there is a reason for including it in the book. Unlike other sexy books, this comes with a beautifully woven story. The erotic scenes were justified. It would slowly unveil Christian's mysterious behavior toward his submissives which would connect to his dark past.
It is a very good book. Please be open-minded so you can appreciate the story. I literally can't put this book down. I can't stop on flipping to the next page as I finish another. Christian is one hell of a hot and gorgeous guy! If you have loved Edward, you'll love Christian more. I have tried to read Twilight but I failed to finish it. But with Fifty Shades Trilogy, I just can't stop reading it. As I'm writing this, Fifty Shades Free (FST 3 ) is waiting for me to finish reading it.

Quotes from the Book:
"Men think that anything that comes out of a woman's mouth is a problem to be solved. Not some vague idea that we'd like to kick around and talk about for a while and then forget. Men prefer action."
***
"You have to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince."
"I think I've kissed a prince mom. I hope he doesn't turn into a frog."
